We rescued "Red" from a local shelter where he was scheduled to be euthanized. Unfortunately, this happens all too often, especially during kitten season. Red's naturally grumpy features attracted us to him. His name comes from the red tinged fur down his back - a sunburn that tells us he was used to be outside in the heat without regular access to shade. His eyebrow whiskers were removed from one side of his face and we can only assume that someone, somewhere, removed them. Red has clearly not had the best of beginnings. It is our goal to give him the happiest of endings. Red is great with other cats, used to seeing dogs but not interacting with them, and would be good with older children. He is a bit shy at first and needs a home that can be patient with him while he learns that he is safe.
