Alley's mom came to us from a feral colony in San Pablo. The caretaker of the colony reached out to us when she noticed that mama cat's belly was growing. She told us that this kitty has been producing a litter of kittens every year for the past few years and now there were so many of her kittens living on the street. Our first priority was to trap mama cat and assess how far along in her pregnancy she was.

Once we got her humanely trapped, we could tell that Abby was well over half way through gestation. This meant that her babies were fully formed. At this point in pregnancy, we do allow the mother to have her babies, and, ideally, raise them herself. Abby gave birth within the week of being trapped to 4 lovely kittens. Alley, Angie, Alex, & Adele. The babies stayed with their mom for 6 weeks - until Abby decided she didn't want to continue nursing them. They were then transferred to a foster home where they have thrived.

Alley's mom and adult siblings from previous litters have all been humanely trapped, vaccinated, treated for fleas, and microchipped thanks to The Starfish Pet Project and their amazing caretaker. All of the cats are back in their home and healthy & happy.

Alley and her sisters are waiting for their own happy endings! Could that possibly be with you?
